Agra Fort is probably one of the finest Mughal forts in the country and dates back to 1565. The fort is constructed of red sandstone and nowadays is still utilised by the military. The public have access to buildings at the south entrance of the fort. Get a glimpse of the Pearl Mosque and the audience hall which houses a throne room. Also located here is the marble tower where Emperor Shah Jahan was imprisoned until his death.
