I bought the BCOZZY after reading about its “patented double support” design. The concept is clever: unlike standard U-shaped pillows that leave your chin unsupported, the BCOZZY’s two arms wrap around and overlap under your chin, preventing your head from dropping forward.
On a 10-hour flight to Singapore, I found it actually works. Not perfectly – no travel pillow does – but better than the basic memory foam U-pillows I’d been using.

BCOZZY Neck Pillow for Travel
4.0
Amazon.co.uk
How It Works
The BCOZZY is a stuffed pillow (not memory foam) with a split design. The two ends wrap around your neck and can be positioned in different ways:
- Overlapped under chin – Both ends tucked forward to support your chin and prevent head drop
- Open at front – Traditional U-shape position with ends at the sides
- One side forward – Support on one side for leaning against a window
The filling is soft polyester fibre, not memory foam. It compresses more than foam pillows but doesn’t have the “moulding” feel.

What I Liked
The chin support actually helps. The overlapping design keeps your head from falling forward – the main problem with U-shaped pillows. It’s not as structured as the Trtl‘s internal frame, but the soft wrap provides enough resistance.
Versatile positioning. The flexibility to configure it different ways means you can adjust based on your seat. Window seat? Wrap it around one side. Middle seat? Full chin support.
Soft against skin. The fabric is smooth and doesn’t get clammy like some synthetic materials. I woke up without any fabric marks on my face.
Machine washable. After a few trips, you’ll want to wash it. The whole pillow goes in the machine.
What Could Be Better
Not compact. This is a bulky pillow. It compresses a bit but won’t fit in a small day bag. You’ll need to clip it to your luggage or stuff it in your carry-on.
The softness is a trade-off. Some people prefer firmer memory foam. The BCOZZY’s polyester fill is comfortable but provides less rigid support. Your head can sink in rather than being held in place.
Doesn’t prevent all head movement. If you sleep deeply, you might still end up with your head at an odd angle. The chin support reduces it but doesn’t eliminate it.
Price. At around £35-40, it’s more expensive than basic memory foam pillows. Whether the chin support feature is worth the premium depends on how much forward head drop bothers you.
Who Should Buy It
The BCOZZY works best for:
- People whose heads drop forward – If U-shaped pillows don’t stop your chin hitting your chest, the wraparound design helps
- Window seat sleepers – The flexible configuration suits leaning sideways
- Those who prefer soft over firm – If memory foam feels too rigid, this is softer
- Machine washers – Some memory foam pillows are spot-clean only
It’s less suitable for:
- Minimalist packers – Too bulky for ultralight travel
- Those wanting firm support – The Trtl or J-Pillow provide more structure
- Budget travellers – Basic memory foam pillows cost half as much

Verdict
The BCOZZY solves a real problem – the forward head drop that makes U-shaped pillows useless for many people. The wraparound design provides chin support without the rigidity of framed pillows. It’s soft, washable, and versatile in how you position it.
The trade-offs are size (it’s bulky) and price (it’s not cheap). If chin support is your main concern and you don’t mind carrying a larger pillow, the BCOZZY delivers what it promises. If you want something more compact, the Trtl achieves similar results in a smaller package.
